Course Outline
The purpose of this class is to help students develop their listening and reading skills for TOEIC.
Learning Objectives
Students will build up their vocabulary, learn the pronunciation features of English, and acquire reading strategies such as skimming and scanning.
Learning Activities Outside of Classroom
Students will be expected to review what was covered in the previous lesson. Study time will be two hours for each class.
Grading Criteria/Policy
The final grade will be based on the following criteria:
1. Final Exam 35%
2. Reports 35%
3. Classroom Participation 30%

TOEICの頻出テーマを扱ったテキストを使用し、語彙、英語表現、文法を学びながら総合的な英語力の向上を目指します。

・語彙力を増やします
・様々な英語（Englishes）の発音に慣れます
・英語の文章を速く正確に読む力をつけます

テキストの各unitはlisteningとreadingの二つのパートから成り立っています。一回の授業で一つのパートを扱います。前半はlisteningです。語彙の確認をしてからlistening問題に取り組みます。ペアあるいはグループで答え合わせをし、その後クラス全体で間違えた箇所を確認しながら、英語表現、文法の確認をします。後半はreadingです。問題にチャレンジした後、ペアあるいはグループで答え合わせをし、クラス全体で内容の確認を行います。小テストに対するフィードバックは授業当日に行います。
