Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The purpose of this course is to learn basic programming skills to control stimuli, measure behaviors, and visualize data, using Python. These workflows are common in research and development projects in psychology and, more generally, in “data science.” Another goal of this course is to obtain skill sets that facilitates collaboration when working on a team project involving computer programming.

【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
1) write and debug codes in python, 2) read/write data files, 3) use python libraries, and 4) visualize data.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to complete weekly assignments on research projects (average of 2 hours).

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Final grade in this class will be decided based on the following: Weekly assignments (100%) .
