Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
As an introductory lab course, this course gives you hands-on experience with several elements of psychological research, such as planning, observation, measurement, data analysis, and discussion, by carrying out three to four experiments. The purpose of this course is to learn how to conduct experiments in psychology and how to present the results of the experiments in writing and in oral presentation.

【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
1) explain how to conduct psychological experiments, 2) analyze data, 3) prepare figures and tables, and 4) write research report.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to complete weekly assignments on research projects (average of 3 hours).

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Final grade in this class will be decided based on the following: Class particpiation (50%) and task completion (60%).
