Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The purpose of this course is to master basic principles, procedures, and research methods pertaining to applying behavior analysis in everyday life. Student will learn the terminology and use them to conduct functional analyses of behavioral problems.
The student will conduct "self-experiment," in which each will select his/her own target behavior, record its frequency, visualize data, develop a behavior modification plan, execute, evaluate, and improve the plan.

【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
1) focus on behaviors, 2) conduct ABC/AB analyses, and 3) measure target behaviors, and 4) visualize data.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to complete weekly assignments on research projects (average of 3 hours).

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Final grade in this class will be decided based on the following: Class particpiation (40%) and task completion (60%).
