Outline (in English)
In this course, students will improve their Academic English speaking and listening skills. By the end of this course students will be more accomplished speakers of English, especially in the field of Academic English, and will be better able to understand spoken English through a range of listening activities.
Homework will be assigned each week. Homework usually consists of tasks on MyEnglishLab, although other tasks may be assigned from time to time. MyEnglishLab is an online tool, access to which comes with the textbook.
Feedback will be provided on an ongoing basis during class.
Participation: 30%
MyEnglishLab Portfolio: 20%
Final Exam: 50%
Please note the final exam is not an open-book exam.

このコースでは、Academic Englishのスピーキングとリスニングのスキルを向上させることができます。このコースの終了時には、学生は特にアカデミック英語の分野において、より熟達した英語を話すことができるようになり、さまざまなリスニングアクティビティを通じて、話された英語をより理解することができるようになります。

You are strongly advised to buy a NEW textbook rather than a second-hand one. This is because all textbooks come with an access code to an online system which you will DEFINITELY need. 「英語表現演習（Writing）」(5)(6)(7)(8)、「英語表現演習（Speaking）」(5)(6)(7)(8)、「英語表現演習（翻訳）」(1)(2)と「Academic Writing」の春学期秋学期科目合わせて22科目については、英文学科指定の「定員」が設定されています。また、「事前抽選」を実施します。詳細はガイダンスおよび掲示で案内します。抽選が4月初頭（初回授業日よりも前）に実施されるので、必ず期日内に申請してください。基本的に、春学期と秋学期をセットで履修することになり、秋学期の科目も春学期に申請する必要があります。
「事前抽選結果」発表時には、定員に空きのある科目のリストも掲示します。それらの科目の履修を希望する場合は、必ず春学期の初回授業に出席してください。担当教員が選抜を行う場合があります。
※ 「英語表現演習（総合）」に関しては、別途「事前登録」が実施されるので、履修希望者は期日内（4月初頭）にそちらに申請をしてください。
※ 2年次クラス指定の「英語表現演習（Writing）」(1)(2)(3)、「英語表現演習（Speaking）」(1)(2)(3)に関しては、事前抽選および選抜はありません。
