Outline (in English)

Course Outline: The aim of this course is to research Japanese and translated children’s literature, its authors, their works, as well as the fundamentals and history of children’s literature.
Learning Objectives: Students will decide on a theme in groups and be able to make presentations and discussions on the topic. They are to summarize what they presented and discussed in a report.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: Students will discuss, research, and prepare to present their research topic in groups. The expected time of preparation and review for class is 2 hours per session.
Grading Criteria/Policy: class participation 20%; presentation 50%; final report (group shared writing) 30%.
