Outline (in English)
Course Outline: This course introduces critical reading, logical writing, and the methods of academic research.
Learning Objectives: The objectives of this course are (1) to acquire the ability to read texts correctly, (2) to acquire the ability to search for books and papers, (3) to acquire the ability to put into words correctly and logically what we think, and (4) to understand inappropriate behavior in research activities, such as falsification, alteration, and plagiarism.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend 2 hours to understand the course content.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: submission rate of assignments (30%), term-end report (70%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
This course introduces critical reading, logical writing, and the methods of academic research. The objectives of this course are (1)to acquire the ability to read texts correctly, (2) to acquire the ability to search for books and papers, (3) to acquire the ability to put into words correctly and logically what we think, and (4) to understand inappropriate behavior in research activities, such as falsification, alteration, and plagiarism.
大学では、“自ら課題を発見し、調査・分析を行い、説得力のある結論を導き出す力”が必要とされます。その基礎を養うために、この授業では、講義を的確に聴取し、論文を正確に読解し、意見を明快に表現することのできる「国語力」を鍛錬してゆきます。
★日本文学科の“必修科目”です。１年生は必ず受講してください。
★「大学での国語力」と「ゼミナール入門」は、学生証番号によって受講クラスが指定されています。文学部ホームページに掲載予定の《日本文学科「大学での国語力」クラス表》を見て、担当教員と曜日時限を確認し、履修登録をしてください。
到達目標Goal

学生が以上のような力を身につけたうえで、「2000字程度のレポートを書く」ことが出来るようになることを最終到達目標とします。

文章を読む、文章を書く、文献を捜す、口頭発表をするといった実践的な課題に取り組み、最終的に、2000字程度のレポートを完成させます。
