Outline (in English)

[Course Outline]
This year's seminar is on "helping", putting a special emphasis on "poverty reduction" set forth in the Goal No.1 of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

[Learning Objectives]
Students are expected to take part in group talk and various communications vigorously. Students will be able to understand basic idea/concept on "helping" and to nurture their values and attitudes towards an effective measure to construct a sustainable society.

[Learning Activities outside of classroom]
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
Students are required to prepare for and review the materials introduced in each session.
Students are required to read the basic literature and the assignments given in each session. Also, read through the reference books introduced in the course as much as possible. Students will be given opportunities to actively gather in groups to discuss their assignments.

[Grading Criteria/Policy]
Grades will be based on performance in the regular session (active participation and contribution to discussions, etc.) (70%) and the final report (30%).
