Basic career skills Ⅱ
【Course outline】
The purpose of this course is to develop practical career skills which are necessary for job-hunting and internship activity. Through activities like Self-understanding, Job-understanding, Lecture given by old boy, old girl and working person, you can get the images of your working-life or occupational life and link these images to job-hunting.
Self-understanding : vocational interest test, self-inventory(strong-point, weak-point), presentation of yourself.
Job-understanding : knowing actual condition of industry segments or businesses in which you are interested
Lecture given by old boy, old girl and working person : way of job-hunting, meaning of work, having a true figure of business like way of work of woman, having an interaction with working person
【Learning Objectives】
The goal of this course are to learn method of investigating business field, type of business and enterprises, to deepen self-understanding through self-analysis and vocational interest test, to learn line of questioning, vocational consciousness and philosophy of career, to get the ability of presentation and writing, and to be able to work together as a team and be proactive in doing.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 20%、Short reports : 20%、in class contribution: 60%
