Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
This course aims to acquire knowledge and theory to understand the distribution business and the service business. Understand the structure and features of the distribution business and service business from an academic framework. Focusing on the future, we aim to deeply understand the business environment and business systems necessary for thinking about your career.

[Learning Objectives]
The goal is for participants to achieve the following three points
(1) To be able to explain basic terminology related to the distribution and service business
(2) Acquire general knowledge of the distribution and service business, and understand and explain its management structure.
(3) To be able to understand actual phenomena and events related to the distribution and service business while linking them to theory.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Please read newspapers on a regular basis and pay attention to daily social trends. Many of the distribution and service businesses are familiar to you. Please think deeply about how business is structured and why you shop at these stores. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

[Grading Criteria /Policy]
The following three points will be evaluated
(1) Ability to explain general knowledge and basic terminology related to the distribution and service business
(2) To fully understand and explain the structure of the distribution and service business
(3) Understand the role of distribution and service businesses in society, and be able to explain various real-world commercial issues in relation to distribution theory.

The evaluation method is as follows. Web test: 40%, work on small assignments: 10%, and company research report: 50%. The grade is based on a 100-point scale, with 60 points or higher being considered passing.
