Outline (in English)

Perspective of materials science acquired through learning “Inorganic Chemistry: I” is intended to improve. Basic principles of inorganic solid-state chemistry is learned to understand applications on energy-related and environmental materials, which are indispensable for establishing sustainable society.
The environment and energy that are important for the formation of a sustainable society are two sides of the same coin. By the end of the course, students should be able to acquire basic science on environment-friendly energy materials and inorganic materials that protect the environment.
Final grade will be evaluated according to the following process: mid-term and term-end examination (85%), and in-class contribution(15%).
