Outline (in English)

[Course outline] Organism manage biological functions and processes with the genetic information on DNA, established by scientific efforts of e.g. Mendel, Morgan, Watson, and Crick. Molecular biology is mainly subject to biochemical and genetic function of DNA, RNA, and proteins. This course introduces you to the related research findings and experiments and the basis for molecular biology, consisting of gene replication and expression. [Learning Objectives] The goals is to understand molecular mechanism of genetic structure and function. [Learning activities outside of classroom] Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class. [Grading criteria] Final grade will be calculated with your work (30%), achievement (30%), and understanding (40%) in class assignments.
