Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
Nowadays, Climate change and other environmental problems are main issues in corporate management.In2020,Japanese Government committed to aim for net zero CO2 emission until 2050. That is not only important issue to achieve, also chance of new business.
This course introduces states of present-day environmental issues and policies to cope with them, including casefiles of efforts of companies.

【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students are expected to understand followings.
(1)1) What is the significance of environmental issues for today's corporate activities?
(2) What is the current situation of climate change, what is the efforts of the world and Japan, and what is required to prevent climate change?
(3) What is the current situation and initiatives of waste management, recycling and construction Circular economy?
(4) What is expected as corporate activities in order to respond to environmental issues?
(5) What kind of institutional and social systems are in place to encourage companies to address environmental issues?

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
In each lecture, tasks or assignments are set to address.
Study time for each task or assignment will be more than four hours.

Final grade will be calculated according to the following process
