Outline (in English)

For wave information engineering, we here study electromagnetism and electric circuits in the high frequency range. The goal is to understand wave phenomena and to become proficient in solving the wave equation, equivalent circuit representation of waves, and use of scattering parameters. Students are expected to understand Smith diagrams and be able to perform impedance matching. Evaluation will be based on the final exam (90%) and assignments and reports (10%).
