Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The aim of this class is to acquire the knowledge and form the lifestyles necessary to lead a lifelong healthy life through exercise, sports, and physical activity.

【Learning Objectives】
(1) To acquire basic knowledge and develop attitudes that contribute to self-management.
(2) To acquire the ability to use sports activities as a means to establish a rich and healthy student and social life.
(3) To learn about various ways to participate in sports and to acquire the ability to develop their own exercise habits according to their life stages.
(4) To communicate with others through exercise and sports, and to acquire problem-solving skills through cooperation and teamwork.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to follow the lecture's instructions in charge of the class regarding the assignments to be done after class and preparations for the next class. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Evaluation will be based on the following: 60% on assignments (reaction papers, subtests, reports, etc.), 20% on final reports, and 20% on class participation. If you are absent from class or submit assignments after the deadline, your grade will be lowered. If attendance is less than two-thirds of the total number of times the class is held, the grade will be E because it is considered to be less than the number of hours required to obtain credit.
