Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This course will introduce the history and legal system of child and family welfare, and explain the infrastructure of child rearing, including maternal and child health, declining birthrates, childcare, and education. Then, social issues such as disabilities, child abuse, foster and adopted children, and poverty will be discussed.
【Learning Objectives】
The goals of this course are as follows
A. To be able to give an overview of the origins and practice of child and family welfare.
B. To be able to understand the major social problems surrounding children and to consider solutions.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Prepare (not submit) for the next lecture, which will be written on the distributed resume. Preparation includes thinking about what is being reported in the media and reading report. As a review, grasp the entire contents of the resume and confirm the key words. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following in class contribution: 50% T, Final Report: 50%.
