Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The aim of this course is to help students acquire comparative study of social services by Buddhism in ancient Japan and the Tang Dynasty.
(LearningObjectives)
By the end of course,students should be to understand the followings:How Buddhism of the Japanese ancient was related to social welfare, how that was related to China.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Yuor study time will be more than four hours for a class.
(GrandingCriteria/Policies)
Yuor overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following.Term-end examination :50%, Short examination:50%.
