Outline (in English)

In present-day society, it is unavoidable to live without variety of financial services, moreover these financial services are becoming more complexed. Therefore, it is important to have “Financial Literacy” including the knowledge about personal monetary related matters and skill to make proper decisions.
By studying financial literacy through this course, we aim to achieve every student
・To understand the important matters related to financial literacy, including budgeting, saving, investing, borrowing, insurance and personal financial management
・To acquire skills to make proper decisions by (a) searching and gathering information, (b) careful and logical consideration, (c) necessary comparisons.
This course is voluntary provided by AEON Financial Service Co., Ltd.

【Learning Objectives】
a)Acquiring necessary knowledge and decision-making skill related to personal financial matters for their better life with financially independence.
b)Using the learned skills and knowledge, students will be able to make their life planning including budgeting and proper selection of necessary financial services.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to have preparation and review for each lesson. We estimated 2 hour each for preparation and review.
Students are expected to read distributed texts and reference materials as necessary

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
The score is calculated based on three subjects.
a)Attendance report contribute 20%
b)Mini exam contributes 20% (few times during the course)
c)Culminating report 60%
Based on the score calculated above, the granting of credit will be decided.
