Outline (in English)

Instructor will explain various concepts necessary for understanding geography of tourism (concepts and structures of tourism and sightseeing, etc.) and features related to tourism on various regional scales. In addition, the instructor will explain various features, problems and future challenges of ecotourism and nature-based tourism that encompasses it, while showing specific regional examples.
At the end of the course, students are expected to understand the methodology of tourism geography and the regional characteristics of ecotourism.

Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend one hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: Term-end examination: 60% and Short reports: 40%.
