Outline (in English)
This is a lecture course on the Chinese classics that had a strong influence on Japan, surveying how Chinese literature made its way to Japan, and how Japan absorbed it and incorporated it into its own culture. Also, while reading original texts and annotations of them, we will check basic matters related to kanji (Chinese characters), grammar, rhetoric, etc.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
日本に強い影響を及ぼした中国古典（特に漢詩）を毎回取り上げ、中国文学がどのように日本に流入し、日本がどのようにそれらを吸収し自国の文化に取り入れていったかを、文学作品の鑑賞を通して紹介しする。また、原文とその注釈を読解しながら、漢字・漢語・語法・修辞などに関する基礎的な事柄を確認する。
到達目標Goal
中国古典文学（詩・韻文・散文、日本漢文を含む）の語法を知り、読解能力を高めることを目標とする。また、文学作品の鑑賞を通して、アジア漢字文化圏に生きる一員として必要不可欠「教養」を身につけ、日本文化・日本文学との関わりから、現在に生きる中国古典の有りようについての「問い」をもち、考える端緒を得ることを目標とする。
The main goal is to improve reading comprehension by learning the grammar of classical Chinese literature (including poetry, verse, prose, and Japanese Chinese). In addition, through appreciation of literary works, the aim is to receive the “education” indispensable to someone living in the Asian kanji cultural sphere. From the relationship with Japanese culture and literature, another goal is to pose “questions” about the state of the Chinese classics as they live in the present, and to find hints as to how to think about them.

本講義は対面を基本として、状況に応じてオンラインに切り替える場合もある。
基本的に講義形式で授業を行い、随時レポート課題を出す。
中間レポートについては授業時間内に全体でリフレクションを行う。
期末レポートについては個別に総評を行う。
This lecture is based on face-to-face contact and may be switched online depending on the situation.
Basically, classes are given in a lecture format, and report assignments are given as necessary.
Interim reports will be reflected on as a whole during class hours.
Term-end reports will be reviewed individually.

シラバスに記載した事項や書籍、文学作品について下調べをして「問い」をもって講義に臨むことが望ましい。
分からない言葉については辞書で調べること。
人名や地名などについてはインターネット等を利用して調べてもよい。
授業前後、各３時間程度の準備・復習時間を標準とする。
It is advisable to conduct a preliminary survey of the items, books, and literary works described in the syllabus and attend the lecture with “questions.”
Check a dictionary for words you do not understand.
You may search for personal names and place names using the Internet or the like.
The standard preparation and review time is about 3 hours each before and after class.

【研究書】松浦友久『校注唐詩鑑賞辞典』（大修館書店）、松枝茂夫『中国名詩選』上中下（岩波文庫）興膳宏『中国文学を学ぶ人のために』（世界思想社）
【辞書類】『大漢和辞典』（大修館書店）、『学研漢和大字典』（学習研究社）は図書館で利用。所持用としては『新字源』（角川書店）、『漢字源』（学習研究社）、『漢字海』（三省堂）。電子辞書も可。
これ以外については授業中に適宜紹介する。
成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
期末レポート（50%）、中間レポート（20%）、授業の出席（30%）

オンラインに切り替える場合に、インターネットに接続し、閲覧できる機器。パソコンかタブレットが望ましいが、スマートフォンでも受講できるよう配慮する。
漢和辞典（電子辞書も可）を手元においておくとよい。
If online, a device that can connect to the Internet and browse. A computer or tablet is preferable, but care should be taken so that students can also take classes on their smartphones.
It is recommended to have a Kan-Wa dictionary (Chinese-character dictionary with explanation in Japanese) at hand. (An electronic dictionary is acceptable.)
その他の重要事項Others
出席を重視する。事故、病気などやむを得ない事情は考慮する。公欠、やむを得ず欠席する場合などは事後報告でも構わないので、証明書類等を提出すること。
全授業回数の3分の2以上の出席がないと、原則として学期末レポートを認めない。
Grade evaluation emphasizes attendance. Unavoidable circumstances such as accidents and illnesses are taken into consideration. Submit a certificate if you are absent for some sort of official reason or if you are unavoidably absent. It may be submitted after the fact.
As a general rule, the term-end report will not be accepted unless at least two-thirds of the total number of classes are attended.
