Outline (in English)

Course outline: Today’s marketing calls for more than developing good products, pricing them attractively, and making them accessible. Companies must also communicate their present and potential customers. For more marketers, therefore, the question is not whether to communicate but rather what to say, when and how to say it, to whom, and how often. From such a point of view, companies need to strategically design and manage communication activities. This class focuses on advertising which accounts for a large part of communication activities.
Learning Objectives: The students will get a better understanding of marketing communication activities. They will acquire advertising knowledge and skills and will be able to explain the significance and role of advertising.
Learning activities outside of classroom: Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content.
Grading Criteria /Policy: Final grade will be calculated according to the following process: two mid-term examinations 25%+25%, and term-end report 50%.
