Outline (in English)
This course will integrate all language skill areas. Listening and reading exercises will be used to acquaint students with a variety of current global topics. Speaking and writing activities will be applied to organize their ideas and opinions. Students will develop discussion and critical thinking skills.

The goal of this course is to develop students' abilities to communicate confidently in English and to be able to express one's thoughts clearly.

今年度はカレンダー通りに始まり、原則としてキャンパスで行います。
Class time will be focused on group and pair work; Active Learning methodologies will be evidenced in all project work. Students will be expected to read assigned (or researched) texts each week and report both in verbal and written form.
During class, feedback on homework is given using examples from successful reports / assignments. Students are encouraged to share their work and reflect on methods of improvement. The grading methodology is explained at the start of the course along with key information on presenting work properly and advice on achieving good grades.

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
授業平常点40％、授業内テスト40％ スピーキングテスト10% オバマのスピーチ暗唱 １0％。欠席は減点とする。
