Outline (in English)

This course provides fundamentals of modern finance theory and its applications to basic security analysis, investment decisions, financial derivative pricing, and financial risk management. The objectives of this course are to give: (1) basic knowledge of financial system, financial markets, and securities; (2) valuation methods of stocks, bonds, forwards, futures, swaps, and options; (3) methods for incorporating risk analysis into valuation models, including the mean-variance approach and the Capital Asset Pricing Model; and (4) applications to corporate financial decisions, including optimal capital structure, capital budgeting, and dividend policy.
