Outline (in English)

In the areas of human resource management and organisation management, “change” is an indispensable phenomenon. In fact, business persons are ceaselessly required to cope with “changes” of various sizes, from a small team level to a large-scale corporate group level, in their organizational lives. Therefore, it can be said that the theme of “organisational change” has practical value in the field of organization studies
In this course, 10 guest speakers, including university-based researchers, business persons, and practitioners of NPO, deliver lectures on “organisational change” in various aspects, as they relate to the cases and/or the studies that the guest speakers are involved in. By discussing and analysing those cases and studies, we try to deepen our understanding of “organisational change”, and to find practical lessons learnt about how to cope with “change” issues in business organisations.
In particular, the main objectives of this course are to deepen our understanding of the following three points, 1) strategies and methodologies for organizational change, 2) diversity management in business organisations, and 3) new trend in the areas of human resource management and organisation management.
