Outline (in English)

Students will learn the basic concept of human resource management practiced by Japanese companies and discuss their characteristics through international comparison with overseas companies and systems.

The topics covered in this class are recruitment, placement / transfer, evaluation, wage system, human resource development, working time management, industrial relations, diversification of human resources, retirement, and so on. Participants are required to understand the main issues on these topics, and to report and discuss examples and papers corresponding to each topic.

Through these learning activities, the goal is for participants to acquire the ability to think about the current status and issues of human resource management.
