Outline (in English)

Why does the non-profit and cooperative sector become providers of quasi-public goods and/or merit goods as alternatives to public sector and private firms? What are the characteristics and problems of this sector from the economic and managerial viewpoints?
This lecture makes clear these questions. The specific characteristics of the non-profit organizations will be explained from the human resource management and financial viewpoints.
