Outline (in English)

Overseas business is becoming more and more important for contemporary companies today. Therefore, how to manage an organization in expanding internationally has become a more important management issue for contemporary companies. In order to respond to this management challenge, it is necessary for us to be able to understand the uniqueness of management under "international" contexts. One of the perspectives to understand “international” contexts is "International Management Theory."
In this course, we will start by studying the historical development of MNCs. Subsequently, we will study the major theories of international management in conjunction with changes in the real world of business (e.g., Theory of foreign direct investment, Theory of knowledge transfer, Organization theory of multinational companies, international configuration of activities, global innovation, international partnership). The purpose of this lecture is to provide a "measure of things" for interpreting the internationalization of companies by studying such a wide range of topics.
