Outline (in English)
This course aims to understand organization of a research paper and procedure to put research into practice. The students will create a research proposal including a plan of data collection, compilation of results and analyses of them. They will actually write the parts of Introduction, Literature review, and Method.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
量的または質的リサーチ型英語論文を書くためのノウハウを学び実践する。先行研究の探索と研究計画の立案、実施、結果の集約と考察から成る本格的な論文執筆を行う。今学期は、文献研究、研究課題の設定・リサーチプロポーザルの執筆、Introduction, Literature review, Methodまでを執筆する。
到達目標Goal
The students will be able to write a research paper in English principally in the filed of English language teaching (learning) or cross-cultural communication, learning how to write a paper.
受講者は、英語論文の書き方を学びながら、英語教育（学習）、異文化間コミュニケーションなどをテーマとした研究論文を英語で執筆できるようになる。

This course is based on explanations and practices of writing a research paper with individual consultation. Individual feedback will be provided.
(1) Choose a research theme, search the related literature and create research questions.
(2) Learn the organization of a research paper and write a research proposal
(3) Collect data, and summarize them for analysis
