Outline (in English)
【Course outline】 This course is intended to prepare students for TOEIC Tests.
【Learning Objectives】 The aim of this course is to help students acquire the skill of listening and reading through training of TOEIC Tests.
By the end of the course, students should be able to enhance the proficiency of practical English overall in addition to the test skills.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】 Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapter from the text.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】 The final grade in the class will be decided based on the following :
Term-end examination: 50%、Performance and Contribution in class:50%

TOEICの問題演習を通して実用的な英語表現、アクセントやリズムに慣れ親しみ、英語のListening, Redaing のスキルを高める。生のニュース英語にも触れる。

【知識・理解】音声変化のポイントを学び、英語の聞取り読解能力を向上させる。
【思考・判断】時事英語の内容分析、ニュースの社会的、文化的背景を考察する。
【関心・意欲】メディア英語に親しみ、映画やニュース英語への関心を育てる。
【技能・表現】TOEIC形式の問題に慣れ、実用的な対話表現などを身につける。

TOEICの中級レベルの教材を扱いながら、実践的な問題演習を行う。シャドーイングやリピーティングなど、リスニング力リーディング力向上のための練習を豊富に取り入れ、スコアアップを目指す。リアクションペーパーや課題等については、主に翌週の授業内でフィードバックや正解の提示、解説を行う。

Education, Review Test
授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
毎回、予習して臨むこと。語句調べ、問題演習。復習は小テスト用に音読、見直し、語句を書いて覚えること。目的意識を持って積極的に取り組んで下さい。本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、合わせて1時間を標準とします。

授業の中でその都度紹介します。
成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
学期末に試験を行う。平常点と合わせて総合評価。学期末試験は全体の授業回数の3分の2以上の出席が受験資格となる。
授業時試験 60% 授業で扱った教材の英文を正しく聞き取り、その内容に基づいた設問に答えられること。
平常点 40% 毎回の授業への真摯な取り組み、貢献度、課題等。
学生の意見等からの気づきChanges following student comments
目的意識を持って積極的に取り組んで下さい。600点未満の人には勿論、700点、800点超えの人にも有効なトレーニングの場となる事でしょう。
