Outline (in English)
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of economics. The course covers introductory chapters and some of the topics of Economics: Pearson, Acemoglu, D., Laibson, D., and List, J.A.

英語で書かれた教科書を使い、経済学の基本的な概念を理解します。 本講義では、教科書である Acemoglu, D., Laibson, D., and List, J.A. Economics: Pearsonのうち、イントロパートおよび経済学に関わるいくつかのトピックについて学びます。
到達目標Goal
(1) 人間の経済行動を理解するために必要な考え方の基礎を学ぶ。
(2) 意思決定をする際に有用なツールを知る。
(3) 分析的・批判的思考のためのスキルを身につける。

教科書をベースとしたスライドを用いた講義形式の授業を行います。課題等の提出・フィードバックは学習支援システムを通じて行う予定です。
The textbook is your major tool for learning the material of this course. My responsibility will be to try to guide you through the material, emphasize the important points, answer your questions, and to iron out any problems that might arise. I will mainly cover the economic models and leave the institutional details for you to study on your own.

本講義の学習時間は、宿題・小テストのない回で３〜４時間、宿題・小テストのある回で４〜６時間程度を標準とします。
Your responsibility is to do the assigned reading, submit each homework before the due date, to think about and learn the material, and to ask questions when the material is unclear. The class goes very fast.
(Average workload for each class is as follows: reading assignment of 1 to 2 hours,working on homework/quiz of 1 to 2 hours, class preparation time of 1 hour and review time of 1 hour)
