Outline (in English)

This course provides an in-depth exploration of economic policies, focusing on their theoretical foundations, practical applications, and evaluation methods. Topics include the provision and allocation of public services, welfare maximization, policy design, and evidence-based evaluations. Students will also learn about mechanism design, behavioral economics, and simulation techniques to analyze and propose effective solutions to contemporary policy challenges. Through lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions, the course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage with real-world economic policy issues.

Students are expected to:

Review lecture materials (1 hours/week): Access and study lecture slides and reading materials uploaded.
Read assigned references (1 hours/week): Engage with recommended texts as well as additional materials provided.
Complete exercises and assignments (2 hours/week): Solve calculation problems and case studies to deepen understanding of course concepts.

Grading Criteria / Policy
Grades will be determined based on the final exam:
Basic knowledge (50%): Understanding of the core concepts covered in lectures.
Calculation problems (50%): Evaluated through problem-solving exercises.
