Outline (in English)

Course outline
This course will provide an understanding of the fundamental principles of labor law and practical approaches relevant to corporate management. Specifically, it will cover topics such as labor contracts, working conditions, employment diversity, working hours management, harassment prevention, work style reforms, employment measures for foreign workers, and laws and case precedents related to dismissals and resignations. Furthermore, it will explore issues such as risk management and enhancing employee motivation.
In addition to theoretical discussions, the course will include case studies and real-world corporate examples, offering a practical perspective that integrates legal viewpoints with management strategies.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Be able to understand the areas of law presented in the course overview and the related case law principles.
2. Develop the ability to persuasively discuss legal issues in labor law, presenting one’s own viewpoints effectively.
3. Utilize the knowledge acquired in points 1 and 2 to actively engage in advanced issues related to human resources and labor management with a legal mindset.

Learning activities outside of classroom
For preparation, if materials are introduced in advance, please ensure to read them before attending the class.
After the class, submit a reaction paper (reflection essay) through the learning support system.
The standard preparation and review time for this course is set at two hours each.

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
Reaction Paper:30%、Term-end examination:70%
