Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
It is a case study about the civil law. Aiming at the improvement of the ability for interpretation of the civil law, I think it to be significant for the examination of the entrance into a school of higher grade to the law school and various law examinations. It is understood with practice to be connected directly with "a trial and the law course".

【Learning Objectives】
This two-year seminar is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the key issues in civil law. A particular focus will be placed on the reformed law of obligations, which was fundamentally revised for the first time in 121 years. Through careful study and discussion, students will gain a clear understanding of the content and significance of the new Civil Code.In addition to acquiring legal knowledge, the seminar encourages students to develop independent learning skills and the ability to think from a legal perspective. We also plan to consider participation in joint seminars with other universities and intercollegiate civil law debate competitions, with the aim of enhancing students’ presentation and communication skills.

【Learning activities of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours understanding the course content
Experiment/Practice(one-credit)

【Grading Criteria/Policies】
