Outline (in English)

This course explores the historical development and characteristics of various media, focusing on editorial thinking as a method to design dialogue, create context, and structure expression. The spring semester covers traditional media (books, magazines, newspapers, broadcasting, etc.), while the fall semester examines digital media (web, social media, video platforms, etc.).

Classes will consist of lectures and discussions, examining both historical examples and contemporary cases. Students will be expected to engage in critical thinking about media and editorial practices.

Please come with your own experiences and observations of familiar examples of the media to be covered in each session, and think about their characteristics. 1 hour should be sufficient.

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
- Assignments in lectures: 70%
- Attendance & reaction paper: 30%
