【Outline (in English)】
(Course outline)
This seminar will cover a wide range of topics in the area of financial accounting, especially issues related to corporate valuation and decision making using financial information. In the spring semester, each chapter of a textbook on financial statement analysis will be assigned, and students will make presentations. In the fall semester, second-year and third-year students will participate in the Nikkei Stock League and submit a report, and fourth-year students will conduct a financial analysis of a company of their choice and write a thesis.
(Learning Objectives)
Students will obtain advanced knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, which are critical for understanding financial statements. Students also will become literate in the advanced content of accounting for appropriate decisions.

This seminar will be based on the assumption that you have read the material in the textbook prior to class.
(Grading Criteria/Policy)
Students are expected to participate in class and take an active role in discussions. The evaluation will be made based on a comprehensive consideration of these activities.

【授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか） / Outline and objectives】
本ゼミでは、広く財務会計領域のトピックを扱うが、とりわけ財務情報を使った企業評価や意思決定の問題を取り上げる。春学期は、財務諸表分析のテキストの各章を割り当て、受講者による発表を行う。秋学期は、2・3年生は日経ストックリーグに参加し、レポートをまとめ提出する。4年生は各自で選択した企業についての財務分析を行い、卒論としてまとめる。

企業の財務諸表を読み、その内容を理解し、適切な意思決定ができるようになるだけの基本的な知識を獲得することを目標としている。

昨年はコロナ禍のため実施できなかった多摩キャンパスでの勉強合宿等、課外活動が実施したかったという意見が多かったので、今年度は積極的にそのような活動を実施できるようにしたい。

企業データのダウンロードや財務データの分析にパソコンが必須なので、各自で用意して欲しい。

〔関連科目〕
会計学全般の知識を前提として演習を進めるので、「簿記入門」「会計学入門」を履修していることはもとより、「財務会計論」「経営分析」「監査論」を履修しているか、もしくは平行履修することが望ましい。
