【Outline (in English)】
The aim of this course is to acquire an understanding of the role of law in society, the basic concepts and principles of law. We also introduce important provisions and major judicial precedents to help students to develop a legal mind during the course of their studies.
The course content will rely on the textbook, mainly 5 chapters as follows:
Chapter2. Family relations and law
Chapter3. Property relations and law
Chapter4. Labor relations and law
Chapter5. Crime and law
Chapter7. International relations and law

【科目の概要 / Outline】
法は、社会の中で、どのような役割を果たしているか。そして、どのような概念や原則に基づいて法は成り立っているか。これらの問いを、条文や判例などの学習を通じて考えると同時に、法的な思考方法を身につけられるようにする。取り上げるテーマは、指定のテキスト『判例法学』の以下の章の中から適宜選ぶことにする。
第2章「家族関係と法」
第3章「財産関係と法」
第4章「労働関係と法」
第5章「犯罪と法」
第7章「国際関係と法」
【成績評価基準 / Grading criteria】
単位修得試験による。

指定市販本 西村健一郎・西井正弘・初宿正典『判例法学』（第5版）有斐閣、2012 年、¥ 2,600+税
【学習指導、注意点等 / Learning guidance / notes】
通信学習のリポートに添削・講評でフィードバックする。・基本的に、指定テキスト『判例法学』に沿って、関係する条文と判例と解説を熟読しておくことが大切となる。
・指定テキスト『判例法学』のすべてを扱うのではないので注意すること。具体的には、上記の「科目の概要」を参照。『判例法学』は、第5版を用いる。
