Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
What is international cooperation from the perspectives of intercultural studies? It should covers impacts of inter-national cooperation on cultures, inter-cultural cooperation or inter-national cooperation in cultural fields. By the end of this course, students will understand those aspects of cooperation beyond the national borders and will be able to analyze them logically.

【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students are expected to;
1) acquire the basic knowledge on intercultural studies and international
cooperation.
2) be able to analyze the issues in associating international cooperation and culture.
3) understand the key concepts of "technology and culture", "development communication", "protection of cultural heritage", "refugees" or "public diplomacy".
4) be able to read relevant literatures critically and analytically.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content or to write a short essay on a given topic.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Grading will be decided based on a short essay at each class meeting (60%) and a term-end report (40%).
