Outline (in English)
In this class you will use your knowledge of German with a focus on communication skills in terms of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students will get regular homework such as writing compositions/dialogues based on model texts created in class. The standard time for preparation and review of this class is 4 hours in total.
Active classroom participation is essential for passing this course as well as applying the communicative skills acquired in class in various test formats at the end of each unit.

This course aims to develop basic communication skills in German. The focus is on building up vocabulary, idiomatic phrases, grammar, pronunciation, writing and listening skills. At the end of the couse, students will be able to master simple every day situations in a German context.

当講座は、学生のドイツ語の基礎的なコミュニケーション能力の育成を目指す。ドイツ語を勉強したいという自主性を育てる。

想定された日常生活の具体的な場面の中で、実際にドイツ語を使ってみることによって、ドイツ語の基礎知識習得をはかる。
コミュニケーション能力育成という理由から、授業はすべてドイツ語で行われる。授業形態は言語活動、例えばペアワーク、グループワークなどが中心となる。授業での学習が最優先であるが、学習した内容を十分理解するために復習をすることが要求される。何よりも、楽しくドイツ語を学べるよう心掛けたい。
課題の提出およびフィードバックはHOPPIIで行う。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
After every unit, there will be a test/composition which accounts for 60%.
Attendance, classroom performance, homework and attitude account for 40%.
Make sure to always arrive on time for the lesson.
