Outline (in English)

The green alga Volvox is broadly used for studies of evolution of multicellularity. In this class, students address observation and experiment using Volvox and other organisms. The exciting microscopic world will provide students with opportunity to develop the ability to observe object accurately, to solve scientific problems and to describe experimental result and discussion.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process; in-class contribution (30%), short test and class note (70%).
