Outline (in English)

"The Genealogy of 'artificial humans'"
In this class, we will analyze the genealogy of the "artificial human" motif as it has been transformed in literature and film produced in the different cultures of Germany, Britain, the United States, and Japan.
Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
Term-end report: 40%,in class contribution: 60%
