Outline (in English)
While reading original classical Chinese texts, we check more advanced matters regarding kanji (Chinese characters), grammar, rhetoric, etc. Also, we learn about text critique, literacy, and reference matters. Furthermore, by reading allusions and historical books, we aim for a deep understanding of the underlying ideas and social culture, and grasp the works comprehensively from the perspective of Chinese literary history.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
中国古典の文章を題材として、原文を読解しながら、漢字・漢語・語法・修辞などに関してより高度な事柄を確認する。また、古抄本をテキストとして利用することで、テキストクリティークやリテラシー、レファレンス事項についても学習していく。さらに、典故となる経書・史書も読み込むことで、背景となる思想や社会文化についても深く掘り下げ、作品を中国文学史の観点から立体的に確認していく。
到達目標Goal
中国古典文学の語法を深く理解し、読解能力をより高めることを目標とする。また、中国文学研究に必要とされる作業として、原文に当たって根拠と自信をもって読み込むことができるようになることが狙いである。 加えて、より高度な専門的知識として、リテラシーやレファレンス能力を習得し、自ら問いをもって研究調査を行っていくための基盤をつくることも視野に入れる。
The main goal is to deepen understanding of the wording of classical Chinese literature and improve reading comprehension. In addition, as a skill required for Chinese literature research, the aim is to be able to read the original text with evidence and confidence. It is also a goal to acquire literacy and reference abilities as more advanced specialist knowledge, in view of creating a foundation for conducting research by voluntarily asking questions.

本講義は対面を基本として、状況に応じてオンラインに切り替える。
基本的に講義形式で授業を進め、随時レポート課題を出す。
レポートは授業時間内に全体でリフレクションを行う。
This class is based on face-to-face contact and may be switched online depending on the situation.
Basically, classes are given in a lecture format, and report assignments are given as necessary.
Reports will be reflected on as a whole during class hours.

授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
（１）難解な語句は必ず辞書で調べる。手元の辞書で見つからない場合、『大漢和辞典』等で調べる。『大漢和』は「索引」と「語彙索引」とがあり、よみで調べることができる。
（２）人名、地名など固有名詞はインターネットなどでもよいので確認する。
（３）訓読・現代日本語訳する。
（４）内容について考察する。
（１）（２）は最低限調べ、ひと通り訓読した上で授業に臨むことが望ましい。
授業前後含め、各3時間程度の準備・復習時間を標準とする。
(1) Be sure to look up difficult words in a dictionary. If you cannot find it in your dictionary, look it up in the Daikanwa jiten (Comprehensive dictionary of Chinese characters). This dictionary has both an index and a vocabulary index that can be searched using Japanese syllabary.
(2) Confirm proper nouns such as personal names and place names. You may use the Internet.
(3) Read the text and translate it into modern Japanese.
(4) Consider the contents.
It is recommended that you do (1) and (2) at a minimum and read the text thoroughly before attending the class.
The standard preparation and review time for each class is about 3 hours, including before and after class.

【研究書】近藤春雄『新楽府・秦中吟の研究』（明治書院）、岡村繁（新釈漢文大系）『白氏文集』シリーズ（明治書院）、川合康三『白楽天詩選』上下（岩波文庫）
【辞書類】『大漢和辞典』（大修館書店）、『学研漢和大字典』（学習研究社）は図書館で利用。所持用としては『新字源』（角川書店）、『漢字源』（学習研究社）、『漢字海』（三省堂）。電子辞書も可。
これ以外については授業中に適宜紹介する。
成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
期末レポート（50%）、中間レポート（20%）、授業の出席（30%）

オンラインに切り替える場合、インターネットに接続し、閲覧できる機器。パソコンかタブレットが望ましいが、スマートフォンでも受講できるよう配慮する。
漢和辞典（電子辞書も可）を手元に用意しておくとよい。
If online, a device that can connect to the Internet and browse. A computer or tablet is preferable, but care should be taken so that students can also take classes on their smartphones.
It is recommended to have a Kan-Wa dictionary (Chinese-character dictionary with explanation in Japanese) at hand. (An electronic dictionary is acceptable.)
その他の重要事項Others
成績評価については、出席を重視する。やむをえない事情で欠席する場合は事前か事後に必ず報告する。事故、病気などやむを得ない事情は考慮する。
全授業回数の3分の2以上の出席がないと、原則として学期末レポートの提出を認めない。
Attendance is important for grade evaluation. If you are absent due to unavoidable circumstances, be sure to submit a certificate before or after. Unavoidable circumstances such as accidents and illnesses are taken into consideration.
As a general rule, the term-end report will not be accepted unless at least two-thirds of the total number of classes are attended.
