Outline (in English)

Course Outline: This course presents an overview of the history of literary criticism in modern Japanese literature through the writings of individual critics and currents of criticism.
Learning Objectives: The goal is for students to develop their own ability to undertake literary criticism.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: None.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Short reports (50%), in-class contribution (50%).
