Outline (in English)

At the same time as lending mechanical stability, structure is strongly related to a building's form. In order to understand building structure, in addition to approaches through analysis and calculation, comprehending structure as a concept is important. This course will develop understanding of the meaning of structural design in construction space through elucidating the concepts and historical transitions of various structural systems, mechanisms, problems related to form and solutions of real world problems.
