Outline (in English)

This series of lectures presents the current state of Japanese-involved international cooperation for developing countries. It introduces the framework of international cooperation, examples and life experiences by looking at issues such as cultural differences. Focus is given to official development assistance (ODA) carried out by the government of Japan. A group project which reviews and presents a professional report prepared by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) of their choice is required on top of regular attendance. Through this group preparation, students will attain the basic skills, knowledge, and approach necessary for a professional career while strengthening his/her own global perspective.
