Outline (in English)

This course provides an introduction to basic concepts and principle of heat transfer and their applications in mechanical engineering. The aim of this course is to achive a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles of heat transfer.The specific objectives of this integrated subjects are as follows: 1)Explain the basic concepts of heat tranfer such as Fourier's law,conduction processes,thermalresistance, Elementary convection including laminar and turbulent boundary layers,thermalradiation, including Stefan-Boltzmann law and basic concepts of heat exchangers.

Your final grade will be decided according to the following process:
・The ratio of class sttendance over 70%(over 10/14) will be decided the final grade
・Usual performance score 10%, term-end examination 90%.
To pass, students must earn at least 60 points out of 100.
