Outline (in English)

Course outline
Focusing on research on art projects and workshops for connecting people and society, we will practice and consider various representational cultures (music, performing arts, and films, among other things).

Through collaboration with various communities, we empirically study the lives and cultures of people from different backgrounds and communicate our ideas in various ways. Students will also study the field of representation that they are interested in, and will also conduct research on the theory behind them.

Learning Objectives
The following attitude is significant throughout the research.
1. Think freely without being bound by established concepts
2. Be involved with others in various ways
3. Determine the essence of things

It is our goal to examine these as individual issues and discover issues that will lead to society. Such abilities will enrich our daily lives in modern society, where the surrounding information tends to be shed.

Learning activities outside of the classroom
1. No matter your experience, please work enthusiastically throughout the year.
2. It is crucial to proceed with individual research in consultation with the instructor in charge. If you have any questions or concerns, please consult with your faculty member.
3. Have the opportunity to appreciate the work at exhibitions, concerts, movie theatres and actively take practical training and lectures on other art and design.
The standard preparatory study and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

Grading Criteria /Policy
Grades are evaluated based on class activities, contribution to research, and positiveness to research. We emphasize the experimentality and positiveness of our efforts. The scoring ratio is as follows.

1. Initiatives for classes (50%)
2. Joint research (25%)
3. Individual research (25%)

Please refer to the attached rubric table for the exact evaluation method.
Based on these grade evaluations, those who have achieved 60% or more of the target will be accepted.
