Outline (in English)

This course deals with the Japanese performing arts.
The goal of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of Japanese performing arts from Asuka period to the modern era. It also enhances the development of students' skill in making oral presentation and discussion.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Oral presentation or Term-end report : 70%, Short reports : 30%.
