Course outline:
This course aims to explore the development of modern social thought in the West focusing on the "method" of social philosophy.


Course outline:
This course aims to the significance of the idea of the welfare state on the "ideal society.

Learning Objectives:
(i) To understand the welfare state as one of the ideas concerning the "ideal society.
(ii)To understand how ideas to eliminate poverty and social inequality were formed through the process of trial and error of representative intellectuals.
(iii) Through (i) and (ii), to acquire the ability to envision what an "ideal society" should be.
