This course aims to explore genealogy and development of ideas concerning what an "ideal society" should be, with a focus on sociological theories.



Learning Objectives:

(i) To understand the significance of sociological social thought on "the ideal society."

(ii) To understand how sociological social thought was formed through the trial-and-error process of classical and representative sociologists.

(iii) Through (i) and (ii), to acquire the ability to envision what an "ideal society" should be.
