Outline (in English)

【Outline】
The objectives of this class are: (1) to understand how corporate management is conducted under the progress of "aging," "globalization," "digitalization," and "diversification"; (2) to understand how social relations are formed around corporate management and how they affect corporate organizations and the individuals who work in them; and (3) to consider corporate management and social relations under " industrial society of Japan”and to get an opportunity to envision one's own life and career.

【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:

(1) To understand logically and systematically the progression of "aging," "globalization," "digitalization," and "diversification," which can be viewed as changes in society as a whole that accompany "industrialization," and the impact of each change on corporate management, social relations, and workers.
(2) To consider the overall picture of "industrial society of Japan" and the corporate management and social relations therein, and to grasp the opportunity to draw one's own life and career.

【Learning activities outside of classroom)】
Students are expected to do the followings. Your required study time is at least one hour for each class meeting.

(1) To deepen understanding of the themes and issues studied in lectures by reading reference books, newspaper articles, etc. on a regular basis.
(2) Through internships, part-time jobs, and other opportunities to interact with corporate management and industrial society, think about the realities and issues concerning social relations related to corporate management based on the discussions and theories learned in the lectures, and deepen understanding of what is learned in class.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the term-end examination(60%) and the term-end essay(40%) which you are required to write.
